Business Observations

In business, it is fatal to make decisions based on someones 'report'. You must investigate the area to confirm the validity of the report. The 'report' could have been written or said to protect someone's job, and if so, then an innocent person may be victimized.

Never dwell on your past mistakes. If you can learn from them great. If not, don't worry about them. I never heard of worrying solving anything.

In any organization, you need a dept whose function is to verify the correctness of the products offered by the other departments. Most people dont' know what they did wrong - if they did they would not have made the mistake in the first place. This QUAL department is essential to divert future disasters.

Probably the single most important character trait to have in order to succeed and do well in any business or any other endeavor, is to keep your integrity. Your word is your bond. If you always keep your word people will trust you and include you in their life. If you don't keep your word, accomplished people will shun you and not include you in their plans. You will wind up associating with other dishonest people and all of you will eventually fail.

What has always worked for me in business, is to observe what someone is doing that is making a lot of money and then do all I can to duplicate and improve upon his actions. Be sure to persevere because many times that big success follows on the heals of a major loss

If you reward people that do well and don't reward people that don't do well, you will wind up with only productive people. If you do the reverse, you will lose your good people
